Molluscum Cures

Sometimes molluscum can look like another skin condition. This is why it is important to get it diagnosed by a dermatologist. Your doctor often can diagnose the virus just by looking at the affected area. Once diagnosed, they can recommend several different ways to resolve the lesions.

It is not a good idea to try and remove lesions or pick at the white waxy center in the lesions by yourself. By doing this, you may unintentionally risk spreading it to others or other parts of your body. We understand that molluscum lesions are unsightly, so we are going to go through the different options to treat them.

The most common molluscum cures are:

  1. Cryotherapy, which is freezing the lesion with liquid nitrogen. This is a painful procedure and can cause scarring after the lesion is removed.
  2. For this treatment, an instrument pierces the core of the lesion and then the waxy center is scraped out.
  3. Laser therapy. This treatment is done over several office visits in a physician’s office with a laser.

Some of these treatment options may require local anesthesia or repeated visits to get rid of all the lesions. These procedures may result in pain, irritation or scarring after the procedure.

But there are other options out there that are not painful at all. Our product, MolluscumRx is a safe and natural way to get rid of your molluscum. It contains only organic plant materials and is completely pain-free.

When you choose to treat your molluscum with MolluscumRx, you may get new bumps for several weeks while treating. This is completely normal. Most people, however, have complete clearing in 4-6 weeks. It’s important to remember that until the bumps clear, the infected person may give molluscum to others.
